If you are suffering from acute back pain and don’t have the time or money to spend on expensive back treatments and exercise, here are some tips which will help you deal with your back troubles.

Treat yourself to a cup of Chamomile tea. It provides a calming relief to tense muscles. The strain of sitting for long hours can cause the muscles to tense up, leading to a terrible pain.

Soak yourself in a bathtub filled with Epsom salts,they have a soothing effect on cramped up backs. Also they reduce the swelling in the back.

This is the best method, which requires less effort. Fill a clean, thick sock with 1 cup uncooked rice and place in the microwave for 30 to 60 seconds on medium-low. Check the temperature and apply to the back.It proves to have a calming effect.

In case of injury immediately apply ice on your back; this helps reduce further damage and inflammation.

When your back,aches, cut a 1- to 2-inch fresh ginger root into slices and place in 1-quart boiling water. Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes on low heat. Cool for 30 minutes. Strain, sweeten with honey (to taste), and drink. The ant-inflammatory properties of ginger help reduce backaches.

Calcium helps build strong bones and protects the spine from osteoporosis. So, drink plenty of milk which is rich in calcium. Women especially, this is an important advice to all of you. Have a cup of milk along with your children everyday. Women are more susceptible to Osteoporosis than men so it is important that they take care of themselves.

Soak a cloth in warm water and use it as a hot compress on the back. This provides relief to the strained up muscles.
