Are you worried with the spotting of dark pigmentation marks on your face, neck, hands and feet? These pigmentation marks are nothing but age spots which are also known as liver spots, sun spots and lentigines. Usually such kind of marks or age spots is observed in people more than 45 years of age. Over sun exposure is one of the common reasons for age spots but in few cases they tend to run in family.
Age spots can be treated with the help of various cosmetic treatment and surgeries but you need not spend even a penny to fade age spots. You can treat your age spots at home with simple and effective home remedies. Some of the effective home remedies for age spots are listed below:
- Since sun exposure is the major cause for age spots hence it is necessary to protect your skin from direct sunlight.
- Extra fresh Aloe Vera gel and apply directly on the age spots. Regular application of Aloe Vera gel on age spots is effective home remedy for age spots.
- With the help of a cotton ball dab castor oil on the affected area. This is considered to be beneficial age spot treatment.
- To 1-2 tsp of fresh orange juice mix ½ tbsp of apple cider vinegar. Apply this mixture on the affected area. Regular use of this home remedy for age spot will diminish your age spots within a month but make sure that you use fresh mixture daily.
- Fresh lime juice is also effective in treating age spots. Daily rub the affected area with fresh lime juice and within 1-2 months your spots with fade.
- Make a smooth paste of red sandalwood powder with rose water and apply it on the affected area. Leave it to dry and then wash it with clean water. This is one of the effective home remedies for liver spots.
- To freshly prepared tomato paste mix around 2-3 tsp of butter milk. Apply this paste on the affected area and leave for 15-20 minutes. Then with cold clean water wash it away.
- Mix onion juice and apple cider vinegar in equal quantities and apply it on your age spots. This is effective natural remedy to get rid of age spots.
- To a cup full of water add 3 tbsp of apple cider vinegar; drink this mixture twice in a day for a month. Besides fading your age spots, it will add a healthy glow to your skin.
- Diet also plays an important role in fading age spots. Make sure that you eat a well balanced healthy diet especially containing fresh fruits and vegetables. Lastly drink plenty of water.
