Asthma is a condition in which the person gets frequent attacks of breathlessness. He is completely normal the rest of the time.

- In the beginning of the treatment, the patient should fast on lemon juice with honey for a few days. Then he should go on a fruit juice diet. This will eliminate toxins in the system.
- Foods which produce phlegm should be avoided. Such foods include rice, sugar, lentils and curds
- Breakfast should consist of prunes, oranges or berries or a few black raisins with honey. Lunch and dinner may consist of raw vegetables like cucumber, lettuce, tomato, carrot and beets, one or two lightly cooked green vegetables and wheat bread. Dinner should be eaten two hours before bed.
- Asthma patients should eat less than their capacity. They should eat slowly, chewing food properly.
- Drink ten glasses of water every day. Do not drink water during meals.
- Spices, chillies, pickles, too much tea and coffee should be avoided.
- Garlic is very useful in the treatment of asthma. Taking garlic cloves boiled in a little milk every day will bring a lot of relief.
- Steaming ginger tea with garlic cloves can be taken every morning and evening.
- Turmeric also helps clear the lungs. A teaspoon of turmeric every day in a glass of milk two or three times taken on an empty stomach will bring relief.
- Fresh air is very important for an asthma patient. Light exercise should be done in fresh air every day.
- Yoga asanas such as ekpaduttanasana, yogamudra, sarvangasana, padmasana, bhujangasana, dhanurasan etc will help a lot.
