Sunflower seeds

work wonders in treating high blood pressure due to cholesterol. These seeds work by reducing cholesterol deposits on the walls of arteries. It is therefore good to substitute sunflower seeds for solid fats like butter and cream to get better health during high blood pressure.

What is high blood pressure:

Blood pressure is defined as the pressure exerted by the blood on the walls of the arteries as the heart pumps the blood into them. It is measured in systolic and diastolic.

Systolic blood pressure

is the pressure on artery walls when the heart pumps out the blood during the contraction of the heart.

Diastolic blood pressure

is the pressure on artery walls when the heart is at rest between the beats.

The normal range of blood pressure depends on age.

Treatment with Coriander Seeds:

Decoction of coriander seeds is very helpful in lowering cholesterol levels. It also works as good diuretic. Take two tablespoons of dry coriander seeds and boil it in a glass of water. Strain the decoction and drink after cooling. Taken this decoction twice a day for few weeks. This is effective natural treatment for high blood pressure.

Treatment with Psyllium Husk:

High cholesterol is effectively treated by the herb psyllium husk. The seeds of the plant are taken and the oil is extracted. This oil contains fifty percent of linoleic acid and is given to lower blood cholesterol. One teaspoon of the oil should be taken twice daily for the treatment of high blood pressure.

Treatment with Water

: Drinking water should not be avoided during this ailment. It is proved that taking 8 to 10 glasses of water every day stimulates the excretory activity of kidneys. This facilitates the elimination of excessive cholesterol.
