: Take a teaspoon of fresh ginger juice. Prepare a cup of fenugreek decoction by boiling one teaspoon of fenugreek seeds in 250 ml of water till it gets reduced to half. Mix ginger juice and fenugreek decoction. Add a teaspoon of honey for taste. This acts as a diaphoretic and reduces the cough effectively.
Treating Whopping Cough using Calamus:
Calamus is a herb which acts as a valuable remedy for whopping cough. Roast the herb and make it a powder. Take a teaspoon of honey and add a pinch of the prepared powder. Calamus has antispasmodic properties that prevents severe bouts of coughing.
