Nature Cure Tips Using Cinnamon

Cinnamomum zeylanicum,

commonly known as


is a small tropical evergreen tree. Its inner bark is used for natural treatments of several ailments. The bark is dried and rolled into sticks. It is used in form of powder. In this article we discuss how can we use cinnamon as a part of natural cure.

Cinnamon can be used in several ways. However the best use of cinnamon is to eat it with honey.

For Heart Care:

Make cinnamon powder and add honey to it. Apply this on chappati, bread and eat regularly for breakfast. This reduces the cholesterol in the arteries and lowers the chances of heart attack.

For Arthritis:

Arthritis can be effectively cured by taking one cup hot water added with 2 spoons of honey and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Arthritis patients are advised to take this regularly two times a day, in morning and evening.

To Lower Cholesterol:

Simply by eating small amounts, ie half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder one can reduce LDL cholesterol in the blood. It can be also used as mild sweetener in coffee or tea.

For Common Cold:

For those who frequently suffer from cold, cinnamon is very beneficial. Take one tablespoon of lukewarm honey with quarter spoon cinnamon powder and take for 3 continuous days. This will clear the sinuses and cure most of the cough and cold.

For Insect Bites

: Cinnamon is a quick treatments for insect bites. Take two parts of lukewarm water and one part of honey. Add a teaspoon of cinnamon powder and make a paste. Massage it slowly on the area of the bite. You will feel relief from the pain and the bite seems to cease very quickly.

For Hair Loss:

Make a paste of hot olive oil, one tablespoon of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and apply on the hair before wash. Keep it for 15 minutes and wash the hair. It is one of the effective nature cure for baldness.

For Toothaches:

Take one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and 5 teaspoons of honey and apply on the tooth that is aching. Applying 3 times a day is very beneficial and treats almost all types of toothaches.
