Natural Alternative to Reduce Menopause Symptoms
Menopause is the time in a woman’s life when the ovulation and menstruation stops. When menopause occurs , body stops producing two major hormones
. Absence of these two hormones causes a variety of symptoms such as – headache, hot flashes, depression, irritability, anxiety and heart palpitations.
Conventional medications to avoid menopausal unpleasant symptoms can exacerbate the condition. Hence, an alternative medication like yoga becomes necessary as it combines both meditation and physical exercise. This will help reduce stress and anxiety. There are some other alternative treatments to get relieve from menopause.
Alternative medicine for Menopause:
– For some women, vitamin E provides relief from mild hot flashes. More than 400 IU of vitamin E may not be safe as its efficiency in relieving hot flashes is still not fully proved by scientific studies.
– These estrogens occur naturally in some food and found in two types- lignans and isoflavones. Lignans are found in whole grains, flax seeds, some vegetables and fruits. Sources of Isoflavones are chickpeas, soybeans and other legumes. It may not be good for women who have breast cancer. Doctor’s consultation is necessary before you take isoflavone pills.
– It has been widely used in Europe and is also popular among women in the US. It has a good safety record.
Though, some other dietary products like chasteberry, licorice , quai, evening primrose oil and wild yam are also believed to relieve from menopause. But their scientific evidence and effectiveness is lacking.

6 tbsp Lemon balm leaves
6 tbsp Chamomile flowers
2 tbsp Orange flowers
3 tbsp Lavendar flowers
2 tbsp skin of Rose hips
1 tbs Valerian roots
To 3 tbsp of this blend, add 1 cup of boiling water and steep for 5 minutes. Then strain and drink 2-3 cups for four weeks to get relieve from menopause.
