Natural Cure for Seborrhea

Seborrhea is an inflammatory skin condition that affects on scalp that results in red, flaky and itchy skin as well as dandruff. This condition is mainly caused due to a yeast, called

malassezia

. This yeast grows on scalp. Other seborrhea causes include stress, cold weather and diseases like HIV/AIDS. Though, seborrhea mostly occurs on the scalp, it may spread to other areas of skin like breast bone, groin area, armpits, eyebrows, nose creases and ears.

Seborrhea causes great embarrassment and irritation to an individual because it is a difficult task for preventing the urge to scratch the scalp while suffering from this condition. If you face the same problem and looking for natural treatments, this article gives you some remedies.

Natural Cure for Seborrhea:

  • Massages:

    These are very effective in treating seborrhea naturally. Coconut oil or olive oil can be used for massaging the scalp and hair. Massage must be done in circular motion as it aids in enhancing blood circulation. Now using a comb, remove all the dry flakes from hair.

  • Tea Tree Oil:

    Apply tea tree oil on hair and scalp. This is an efficient remedy for treating seborrhea naturally. Directly apply tea tree oil. This may sometimes cause burning sensation on scalp, thus dilute it with aloe vera gel, before using it. Just put 20 – 25 drops of this oil in a bottle of aloe gel. Apply this on the scalp and hair and let it stay for 30minutes. Later, rinse off for curing dandruff.

  • Apple Cider Vinegar:

    In small quantity of hydrogen peroxide, add 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. Massage hair and scalp with this and leave it for 20 minutes. Later, rinse off with mild shampoo. For best results, follow this treatment on alternate days.

  • Fenugreek Seeds:

    In a bowl of water, soak 2 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds for nearly 6 hours. Later, grind and make paste from these seeds. Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to this mixture. Apply this mixture on scalp and let it stay for 30 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water.
