  • Drink 3 – 4 glasses of warm water in the morning as it prevents constipation. Thus, it effects the skin. Also, you can drink a glass of warm lemon juice with 1 tablespoon of honey.
  • You must have a healthy diet that include fresh fruits and vegetables in the juices form and salads. Instead of sugar use honey.
  • Wash your face while going out and after returning home. This aids in removing dirt which is accumulated on skin because of pollution. Also wash face before going to bed and after waking up. Rather than using soap frequently, it is better to use gram flour or green gram flour mixed with some water for cleansing the face.
  • Twice a day have bath for maintaining clean skin. This also aids in keeping yourself cool.
  • While going out, wear sunglasses and an umbrella to protect skin from the harmful effects of sun.
  • For exfoliating skin, mix rose water and orange peels powder.
  • Once in a week, add lemon juice to water and steam it for removing whiteheads and blackheads effectively. Beat well one egg white and mix it with honey and apply it on the face. Leave it for 15 minutes and rinse with warm water. This helps in removing blackheads.
  • Mix rose water, fuller’s earth and sandalwood powder and apply it as a facial mask. This is the best remedy for oily skin. Rose water tones and cleanses the skin. Fuller’s earth removes excess oil and dirt from the skin. Sandalwood has cooling properties.
  • Avoid drinking coffee or tea, rather substitute it buttermilk or green tea.
  • Apply mashed papaya on the face for clearing marks on the skin as well as skin looks bright.
  • Beetroots, oranges and carrots are beneficial for the skin.
  • For oily skin, use water based cosmetics.
  • Cucumber works as an astringent and cools your skin. Also, it lightens the skin. Add 2 – 3 tablespoons of cucumber juice to the face mask. Cucumber is an anti-tan face pack. It smoothen wrinkles, lightens freckles as well as a natural bleach.
