Burning feet or painful feet is very common after a long day walking, sitting or standing. Most people ignore the cause of burning feet. Some underlying causes are minor and local, while some are serious. This condition is more prevalent in people above 50 years of age, but it may also be observed in younger people. This articles gives some natural remedies for relieving burning feet and causes of burning feet.

Natural Remedies for Burning Feet:

  • Exercises like walking is good as it enhances the blood circulation to the feet. Foot massage also improves the blood circulation.
  • Wear good-fitting leather shoes. Do opt for synthetic ones.
  • Add vitamin B3 (niacin) to the diet.
  • Choose mesh shoes instead of full leather shoes such that the feet can breathe.
  • Opt for cotton socks and change the socks twice a day.
  • Nerve inflammation may be eliminated or reduced by consuming a vitamin B complex supplement, especially vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12 and pantothenic acid for eliminating the tingling sensation.
  • Soak the feet in cool water. This remedy helps in strengthening and invigorating the feet.
  • Rotate the socks and shoes, both during the day and between the walking sessions.
  • The most and effective way is to rest. One can reduce stress and give time to oneself for resting and recovering daily.
  • Insoles provide padding, so eases every day strain which is put on the feet.
  • Smoking and alcohol consumption must be eliminated.
