Sandalwood for Skin
Usage of sandalwood for enhancing the complexion is as old as time itself. In ancient days, women were tuned to the concept of taking care of themselves when compared to present times. Sandalwood oil and powder are used as a part of skin care. Powder is obtained from the tree bark and even oil is obtained from the same by using the process of distillation. Sandalwood is also widely used in Ayurveda.
Benefits of Sandalwood:
This paste is obtained by combining sandalwood powder with a moisturizing fluid and some times with a coupe of sandalwood oil. As it has several antimicrobial properties, this is used regularly as a part of natural skin care product for healing and soothing several skin conditions and ailments. Primarily, it is effective in killing germs, soothing inflamed skin and clearing blemishes which are left behind by the stubborn acne. For obtaining clear and clean face, apply sandalwood paste regularly on the face.

Many scars and skin blemishes develop due to pimples and several other infections. Acne are tiny skin inflammations which are filled with pus that develop on body, often on back, face and neck. Sandalwood powder and Coconut Milk:
This paste gives double boost of germicide properties. Take a small bowl and mix 1 tablespoon of sandalwood powder and 2 tablespoons of coconut milk. Apply this face pack on the entire face and neck. Let it dry and rinse with cold water. This is a good remedy for dry skin.
Black gram paste and Sandalwood paste:
Mix Â½ tablespoon of sandalwood powder with 1 tablespoon of black gram powder. Apply it on the infected area and leave it overnight. Nest morning rinse with cold water. This is best remedy for acne.
Turmeric and Sandalwood paste:
Turmeric is a natural cleanser, but be cautious while using it as it contains a lot of heat. Mix 1 tablespoon of sandalwood paste and a pinch of turmeric powder. Apply it on the face and leave it for 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water.
Rose water and Sandalwood Paste:
Mix 1 tablespoon of sandalwood paste with 2 – 3 tablespoons of rose water. This paste should be very thick or runny. Apply this paste on pimples and acne and let it sit for 30 minutes and rinse with cold water.
