Recipe 1

Ingredients Needed:

Blend 1

  • Sandalwood essential oil – Three drops
  • Orange oil – One drop
  • Rose essential oil – One drop

Blend 2

  • Ylang Ylang oil – One drop
  • Lavender oil – One drop
  • Grapefruit oil – Three drops

Method of Preparation:

Choose the blend of essential oils and take 4 times the amount of all oils. Mix all the oils well and keep the mixture in a dark glass bottle. Add appropriate amounts of diffuser and use it.

Recipe 2 – Bath Recipe For Mild Depression

Ingredients Needed:

  • Ylang Ylang oil – Three drops
  • Basil essential oil – Two drops
  • Grapefruit oil – One drop
  • Lavender essential oil – Three drops
  • Geranium oil – Two drops
  • Honey – ¼ cup

Method of Preparation:

Blend all the essential oils along with honey. Take warm water in a tub and add the mixture of essential oils and honey. Mix the water with your hands and soak them in the tub for about 20 – 30 minutes.

Recipe 3 – Aromatherapy Massage Oil

Ingredients Needed:

  • Wheat germ oil – One tsp
  • Sweet almond oil – Two tbsp
  • Bergamot essential oil – Two drops
  • Geranium essential oil – Two drops
  • Ylang Ylang essential oil – Eight drops
  • Lavender essential oil – Eight drops
  • Basil essential oil – Two drops

Method Of Preparation:

Blend together all the oils and pour the mixture in a dark colored glass bottle. Now add wheat germ oil and sweet almond essential oil. Mix well the ingredients by rolling the bottle in your palms. You can use this mixture one to two times a day by taking very little quantity of oil and massaging it on the chest area and back of the hands. After applying on the skin, inhale the scent from your hands.

Use these aromatherapy recipes for depression as they help in encouraging your emotional comfort, although they cannot offer a complete cure.
