Though there are many toothpastes available, they can be effective in bleaching out only minor discolorations. Following are the

nature cures to whiten your teeth.

  • Strawberries –

Crush strawberries and make a paste of them along with baking soda. Apply this mixture on the teeth for about 5 minutes and then brush your teeth. You can also rub the strawberries on the teeth to make them shine. Clean the teeth completely with water afterwards as the acid and sugar content in strawberries can cause enamel erosion and tooth decay if left for longer time.

  • Orange peel –

Rub your teeth with the inside of orange peel for shiny teeth. Also make a paste of dried orange peel and bay leaves and brush your teeth with this mixture.

  • Lemon juice –

This is also an effective nature cure to whiten your teeth naturally. Make a paste of lemon juice with baking soda or salt and use this to rub your teeth. This not only makes your teeth whiten, but also cleans them completely. Do not use lemon juice frequently as the acidic nature of it damages the tooth enamel.

  • Apple Cider Vinegar –

This also produces the same effect as lemon juice. Make a paste of it along with baking soda and brush your teeth using this mixture. You can also gargle with it before brushing as it helps in removing the stains.

These nature cures to whiten teeth may not give complete teeth whitening results. If you want to see quick results, you need to seek a dentist for professional teeth whitening treatment. But brushing and flossing the teeth should be done regularly twice a day.
