Water Cure

It is healthy to drink a lot of water and water is used as a therapeutic agent to cure health problems. The more water you drink the better health you keep. It is used for disease prevention, is freely available, and has no dangerous side-effects. In fact it is the best medicine in the world.

The body requires water equivalent to six to eight glasses of its total body water for essential functions. It requires minimum eight to ten glasses per day. Water should be taken in eight- or sixteen-ounce portions spaced throughout the day. Dehydration should not be there and you should not let your body dehydrate before you drink water. Regular intake should be there.

Methods of Water Cure

  • It should be taken before meals, about half-an-hour before meals. This helps the digestive tract, particularly in people with gastritis, duodenitis, heartburn, peptic ulcer, colitis, or gas-producing indigestion
  • One should take whenever one is thirsty, even during meals
  • Preferably, one should take water two and half hours after a meal to complete the process of digestion and correct dehydration caused by food breakdown
  • It should be taken early in the morning to rectify dehydration produced during long sleep
  • Water should be taken before exercise for creating sweat
  • It should be consumed by people who suffer from constipation and do not eat enough fruits and vegetables. Two or three glasses first thing in the morning act as a good laxative
